To ensure that we comply with NSW Government and NSW Health COVID-safe guidelines, below is our safety plan that will be used to minimise risk from COVID-19 infection to our staff and clients.
Our safety plan includes these measures:
- With new restriction from NSW government, you must be proved to be fully vaccinated to visit our salon.
- Clients are required to show prove of vaccination and check-in using our displayed NSW Service QR code.
- Our staff are fully vaccinated.
- With the restriction of one person per 4 square metres including both staff and clients, our salon has the usable area of 80 sqm which can meet “a maximum of 20 clients and staff at any one time” capacity. Due to this requirement bookings are recommended.
- Please do not visit our salon if you are sick and/or showing mild symptoms. Equally, our staff will not be working if that person is unwell. We have implemented a withdrawal/quarantine policy for any member of the Manhattan Nails team that has COVID-19 symptoms or has been significantly exposed to people who were contagious or suspected to be.
- More stringent cleaning and sanitation practices are put in place. This include pre and post treatments and services. Hand soap, hand sanitizer and hospital grade disinfectant will continue to be used meticulously as always. Clean areas frequented by staff or customers at least daily. Clean frequently touched areas and surfaces several times per day with disinfectant solution.
- We will use disposable implements and equipment wherever possible, for example spa liners, disposable nail files. Reused items will be disinfected and sterilized as before COVID-19.
- Any surfaces customers touch will be cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant solution and wipe clean between each customer. Towels and linen will be laundered between customers.
- We have removed magazines in waiting areas and at dryer station to reduce the potential for infection of clients.
- We will make seating arrangement in waiting area to comply with physical distancing. This include the requirement of waiting outside if client arrive early or we are running late on appointments, if required.
- We have ensured good hand hygiene facilities are available, including at salon entry and exit near our counter, and we will continue to promote excellent hand hygiene by staff to all visiting clients.
- We will clearly display conditions of entry on salon entrance, on this website and our Facebook page.
- Our staff and manager will constantly monitor appropriate physical distancing and that our salon will not exceed the maximum capacity of 10 clients.
- We will be assigning clients to nail stations or pedicure spas where safe and practical, that are at least 1.5 metres apart, and minimising any interaction between these work stations
- We encourage all clients to download the COVID-safe app, as all our staff have already done so.
